I am an architect and painter from Gothenburg, and my figurative oil works investigate how the contemporary city shapes emotional and psychological experience. I studied architecture at Chalmers University of Technology and Politecnico di Torino, and painting at Dômen Art School in Gothenburg. Working in both fields has shaped my spatial sensitivity: as an architect I engage daily with how bodies move through, read, and inhabit space, and in my painting these same environments become carriers of memory, tension, and inner states.

I work primarily in large-scale, layered oil painting. Figures and architectural fragments appear, dissolve, and re-emerge through scraping, overpainting, and accumulation, creating images that hover between recognition and ambiguity. This process allows bodily impressions and half-remembered scenes to settle into the surface of the painting.

My practice centers on the city as a site of both collective and personal memory, and on the subtle dissonance that can arise in otherwise familiar situations. Recurring themes include thresholds between public and restricted space, day and night, interior and exterior, intimacy and anonymity. Rather than illustrating specific events, I condense these spatial and psychological encounters into open-ended images that invite slowness, attention, and physical presence within an increasingly accelerated visual culture.
